More About The Space:

Many people have asked us if The Space is a Concert Hall, Lounge, Movie Theater or a spot to hold a special event. And the answer is: all of the above! The Space is the place where you can be different and unique. With some creativity and vision, you can turn The Space into the venue of your dreams and create a truly memorable event to last a lifetime. With flexible seating plans and state of the art light and sound systems, The Space provides an exciting palette for the creative producer, event, party and meeting. Additionally, The All Music Inc. Lounge at The Space is like a second venue inside the same walls, with its own bar that can accommodate up to 125 patrons and can be used for receptions prior to special events, as well as the presentation of musicians, comedians and other performers. The Lounge’s warm and inviting atmosphere is an ode to The Space’s former life as a movie theater, featuring a granite bar, lighting fixtures created from vintage movie reels and decorated with showcases which display antique film projectors. Plus, all of the shows on the main stage at The Space are also live streamed to be viewed at The Lounge at no cost to enter!

The Space was born with a different name on November 10, 1927 as The Westbury Movie Theater. The Westbury Movie Theater opened its doors to and audience that awed at the beauty of its Tudor style inspired auditorium. The feature for opening night was “Hula” starring Ciara Bow.

The Westbury Theatre was one of six theaters built by Salvatore Calderone in Nassau County, Long Island. The theater succeeded as a single screen house until it was matched in the late 1970’s. As patronage decreased, the theater closed its doors.

Over ten years ago Cyrus Hakakian and his partners saved the Westbury Theater from demolition. After viewing the stunning space, he was determined to preserve the magnificence of the original theater while repurposing the facility to accommodate all aspects of contemporary entertainment. With the installation of the state of the art lighting and sound systems, combined with the flexible seating plans, the Westbury Theater now enters a new chapter of its illustrious history as The Space at Westbury.

You can feel the magic the moment the audience sees the spectacular LED marquee enhancing the outstanding new façade. A graceful tower provides downtown Westbury with an architectural landmark as histrionic glamour returns to Post Avenue.

The excitement extends to the theaters south side on Winthrop Street with a new double story valet grand entrance, as the audience enters the threshold with its soaring ceiling while immersed in the glow of magical lighting; it is apparent that every detail has been consider to make a visit to The Space at Westbury a most memorable experience.

Sabrina was born on Long Island, NY, and from an early age knew that entertainment was a calling she could not ignore. Her Sicilian background helped nurture her talents for singing and acting by creating a pathway and platform at family functions to let her talent shine. As she matured, she ran her family’s Italian restaurants and with the encouragement of her mother, set out to New York City and started vocal lessons with top Vocal coach to the stars – Don Lawrence. It was there that Sabrina was able to free herself and venture out to explore how strong her talent was.

While continuing to pursue music, she always felt a calling to act. Sabrina then expanded herself into the acting world and has never looked back. Her love for comedy and the ability to make people laugh is one of her greatest passions, and gave her the ability to study at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for Improv and Sketch Comedy where she became one of their standout comediennes. Sabrina soon found herself landing roles in the horror “GeoKilling,” the Dramedy “The Productive Lie” and music video “Love is Love”.

Always maintaining her value of healthy living, Sabrina also helps to educate people on healthy lifestyle choices. New Name, New Singer, Same Rockin’ Country: Louisville, KY’s “RiverShine” Bring On New Lead Singer, Continue Tracking “All About the Ride” LP

Slated for Release This Fall, The Group Has Been Working with Platinum Selling Producer, Singer/Songwriter Mark Slaughter

August, 2017 (Louisville, KY) — From a city steeped in an already rich history of country music, bluegrass, folk, jazz, and more comes a brand new addition packing the roots of rock and country with the passion and dedication to the musical legacy of the place they call home. RiverShine (Formerly Borderline9) recently began working with legendary singer/songwriter/producer Mark Slaughter on their brand new album “All About the Ride”. Following the recent addition of a brand new lead singer, the LP is set to be released this Fall!

A new group straight out of the derby city, RiverShine began as co-founder Dave Helbig, a guitar player, was looking for a few musically inclined friends to work on a new record with. Dave has been playing in and around Louisville for well over 10 years, opening for some of the biggest names in country music from Eric Church to Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan, and many more!

Seeking not only great musicians but all around good people, Dave came across talented young drummer Logan Giles who’d played in numerous groups in the area and traveled the country. Next in line was bass player Alex Roberts, originally based out of Phoenix AZ, who moved to Louisville to further his career as one of the top bassists in the industry having a ton of live shows and recording experience under his belt. Finally, rounding out the group was new vocalist Ryan Scott Brenzel. Born and raised in Louisville KY, Brenzel graduated with a degree in Vocal Performance from Bellarmine University along with a degree in psychology, and has performed with the Ryan Scott Band and as part of the Derby City Sessions along with tons of shows in and around Louisville.

With the group ready, willing, and re-assembled, they recently hit the studio with the platinum selling Slaughter, who’s sold millions of records and had four Top 30 Billboard charting hits, touring with bands/artists like Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne, Poison, and Damn Yankees.

With their debut release “All About the Ride” set to drop this Fall, the band continues to work diligently in the studio and will hit the road with further live dates in the near future. So keep an eye out for RiverShine and get ready for a new breed of rip-roaring country rock!

Girls Rising and Capital One present 4th Annual BeachFest Weekend, Sea Cliff NY featuring ANTIGONE RISING Friday, September 15th – Saturday, September 16th

2017 Kickoff Fundraiser and Free Music Festival Hosted By All-Female Alt-Country Rockers Celebrating the Global Work of Nonprofit “Girls Rising”

World renowned country/rock group Antigone Rising, known for their Billboard Heatseekers chart topper ‘Don’t Look Back’ and touring alongside The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, Rob Thomas and more, are making history again with their non profit Girls Rising and their BeachFest Weekend! Now in its fourth year, this musical celebration of the global work of Girls Rising (a certified 501.c.3 non-profit organization started by the band) will once again come to Sea Cliff, NY on Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th!

BeachFest is a free event for the community and a trailblazing festival where all the performers are women who are constantly marginalized on festival stages. Our Youth Spotlight Stage gives up and coming female performers a chance to gain experience alongside our Capital One Main Stage national touring artists.

WATCH: Girls Rising (Official Trailer) Antigone Rising’s Nonprofit For Gender Equality

“The Girls Rising mission is to inspire and elevate girls and women to reach their full potential. Though the power of music and example, we work to build their skills and confidence to excel in life, which in turn builds stronger communities” – Antigone Rising

Through engaging conversation about their own experiences as women in the music industry, performance and the power of example, Girls Rising outreach programs aim to entertain, educate, encourage and inspire young women to go beyond the boundaries society places on gender and become Game Changers.

Antigone Rising feels girls and women need to see strong, empowered women succeeding in non-traditional roles. The mainstream media is failing at providing enough adequate examples and visibility of these inspiring women role models, and the Girls Rising outreach programs demonstrate to girls (and boys) that strong women exist and have much to contribute to art, culture, sports, finance, business and the world around them.

With BeachFest, this mission is brought to life showcasing the band’s truly inspiring work. Expected to attract over 4,000 people over the course of the two day event with live music performances on 2 stages by national touring female artists, youth performers, a celebrity panel discussion, local artisans and food/drink vendors.

The 2017 Kick Off Fundraiser, for those donating $75 or more to Girls Rising, will be held Friday, September 15th at the Sea Cliff Firehouse (67 Roslyn Ave, Sea Cliff, NY 11579). Girls Rising will award the first annual Sheila Primont Scholarship and the Milt Okun Scholarship to 2 very deserving young women from Long Island. The Sheila Primont Scholarship will be presented by the inimitable broadway star, Linda Eder, who will perform alongside our amazing, talented BEACHFEST performers in an intimate, acoustic and what is sure to be a collaborative night of music. Live music, open bar, comedy, raffle and light fare will sustain our organization from 7-10pm on Friday 9/15, the eve of BEACHFEST.

On Saturday, September 16th, beginning at 12:00PM the FREE all day BeachFest music festival will host the Capital One Main Stage & The Youth Spotlight Stage. The Capital One Main Stage will feature Antigone Rising, Williams Honor, Garrison Starr, Edie Carey and Julia Weldon. The new Youth Spotlight Stage will allow aspiring artists to benefit from a real stage experience alongside main stage national acts.

The high profile outreach workshop / Q&A panel beginning at 2:00PM will be the centerpiece of the day.  Antigone Rising and selected women across a spectrum of other industries come together to discuss women in business, gender bias and succeeding in male dominated industries.  Last year’s panel was a great success moderated by Emmy award winning TV personality, Carolyn Gusof.  This year’s panel will include former New York Liberty and Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer Sue Wicks, among other high profile women to be announced soon!

Throughout the year, Girls Rising partners with school districts, youth centers, and corporations to create empowering and innovative programming that inspires young girls and women through live performances, presentations and workshops. BeachFest also serves to raise funds and awareness for these continued efforts.

With the extraordinarily empowering Festival now in its fourth year, BeachFest brings an educational, informative, and most importantly ROCKIN’ experience to Sea Cliff on Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th!

Rising Star Sammi Rae Murciano Bringing Wide Range of Musical Influences and Powerful Vocal Talent to the Masses

The Young Star Has Dazzled Audiences with Dynamic Renditions of Songs by the Likes of Adele, Ella Henderson, James Arthur, and Zara Larsson & MNEK Along with Bold Original Tracks

Having just released a brand new video for her cover of Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa’s “Scared to Be Lonely” and currently working on new tracks both original and in tribute to some of her music idols, Singer/Songwriter Sammi Rae Murciano is poised for a long and fruitful career in music.

The Long Island native has been singing for three years, and garnering a ton of praise from audiences nationwide. As a recent review by Digital Journal stated – “Her breathy vocals are expressive, and reminiscent of a young Demi Lovato”, and for Murciano, singing is her passion.

Inspired by a wide range of talents before her, the singer has cited her major influences as everyone from Whitney Houston to Celine Dion, Beyonce, Rihanna, Adele, and many more. Her strong and soulful voice is well beyond her years at the young age of 16, and knowing that you have to believe in yourself and have confidence to be successful has been her continued mantra.

On her early beginnings as a singer, she’s said of her musical awakening in school “I always loved to sing. I was in chorus, and had a solo. Being  in front of everyone performing, was an amazing feeling. I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life,” continuing “I would love to tour all over the world, and my dream is to perform at Madison Square Garden.” And with her continued drive and incredible voice, she certainly seems to be on the right path.

Having recently opened for Nick Cincotta and Rapta on their North East tour, Sammi Rae is currently working on new music, cover videos, and a number of live dates soon to be announced!

With an incredible sense of motivation for following her true calling, Murciano has said she owes it to “Knowing that I get to get up everyday, and do what I love, which is singing”, and with that amount of drive, there will certainly be more to come.
