They are also an unabashed favorite of international supermodel, author, and actress Emily Ratajkowski.

Even as their songs “Seabird”, “Oh Lori,” “Put Away Your Love,” “Sad Songs,” and “All for a Reason” charted around the globe, The Alessi Brothers made a second career writing music for other world renowned artists – such as Peter Frampton, Frankie Valli and Olivia Newton John and in films and commercials the world has grown to love.

Mark Newman Brings the Memories of “Ghosts” to Life in New Music Video

Mark Newman Brings the Memories of “Ghosts” to Life in New Music Video

New York, NY – Singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Newman gives a visual dimension to the memories, people, and experiences that linger throughout our lives with the official music video for his latest single, “Ghosts.”

Written by Newman and Michael Mills, “Ghosts” explores the idea that the people and moments from our past never entirely leave us. Instead, they remain in different forms, resurfacing through memories, emotions, places, and the experiences that shaped who we have become.

The accompanying video expands on that idea, giving viewers a visual space to reflect on the song’s central theme. Much like the track itself, the video approaches the idea of “ghosts” not simply as something haunting, but as the traces left behind by a lifetime of experiences. Some memories are warm and comforting, while others carry pain, regret, or unanswered questions. Together, they become pieces of a past that continues to exist alongside the present.

That sense of reflection runs throughout “Ghosts.” Newman’s weathered, expressive vocal delivery and guitar work give the song an intimate quality, while the video allows its message to breathe beyond the lyrics. It becomes less about looking backward for the sake of nostalgia and more about recognizing how deeply the past can remain woven into everyday life.

At the heart of the song is a feeling almost everyone knows. Certain people disappear from our lives, certain places change, and entire chapters eventually close, yet a sound, photograph, street, or passing thought can suddenly bring everything rushing back. “Ghosts” captures those moments when the distance between then and now briefly disappears.

With “Ghosts,” Newman offers a reminder that the past does not always stay neatly behind us. Sometimes it follows quietly, appearing when we least expect it and reminding us of the people we knew, the places we have been, and the experiences, both good and bad, that helped make us who we are.

Blending Rock and Satire: Sullyman The Third Tackles Artificial Intelligence in New Music Comedy Film

Blending Rock and Satire: Sullyman The Third Tackles Artificial Intelligence in New Music Comedy Film

Modern independent entertainment faces an increasingly crowded media landscape where blending distinct genres is difficult to execute effectively. Audiences frequently encounter formulaic comedies or standard music videos that lack narrative depth and thematic ambition. Meanwhile, the rapid rise of artificial intelligence has sparked intense cultural debates, yet few creative projects explore the topic with both sharp humor and genuine musical artistry.

Sullyman The Third—dubbed “The Comedy Film Rock Band”—bridges this divide with the release of their third music comedy short film, Chat ST3 Ring Circus, accompanied by an original 10-song soundtrack. By combining narrative storytelling, satirical wit, and driving rock tracks, the indie outfit turns tech anxiety into high-energy entertainment. In this Executive Q&A, we speak with Sullyman The Third (Sully), the director, screenwriter, and co-star of the project, to explore the creative vision behind the film and the unique process of merging rock music with film comedy.

Q: Satires on technology often struggle to balance technical realism with genuine entertainment. What inspired you to use artificial intelligence as the central plot device for Chat ST3 Ring Circus?

Sully: The inspiration came fairly easy, as AI was being mentioned in the news every day. On top of that, the film and music industries were themselves under attack for using AI. Having made two previous short films, I have learned not to get complicated with any subject matter because you have length restrictions right from the start. So once I came up with this idea about a broke rock band that accidentally created a device that could recreate digital house alarm codes, we had ourselves a script.

Q: As a comedy film rock band, your creative process involves both cinematic storytelling and album production. How do you integrate the 10 original soundtrack songs directly into the narrative pacing of the film?

Sully: The album and the film in this situation were written together, which ain’t easy at all. I wouldn’t normally do that because it puts a strain on the band doing two creative things at once. There are lyrics to almost all of the rock songs I sing and write on piano, so in a couple of situations where the actors were not speaking, I let the lyrics sit front and center to help narrate particular scenes. Thankfully, there were enough breaks in my arrangements where there was zero singing that I could place music throughout the film without having any issues.

Q: In the film, the band discovers a way to combine traditional rock instruments with AI to access encrypted areas. How does that fictional scenario reflect your real-world perspective on the collision between human musicianship and automated technology?

Sully: The creative world is still trying to figure out how artificial intelligence will be used in the arts. I know Lisa Kudrow’s recent HBO series ‘The Comeback’ comically addressed some of the AI job issues in film and TV. But it’s the insane speed that artists in every discipline now have to adapt to every new technology that seems to threaten their talents. So maybe this piece of software can help with vocal imperfections but as far as I know, ChatGPT can’t dance on stage so we shall see soon enough how this is all going to play out. I’m just glad I’m 62 and not 22.

Q: Directing, writing, and co-starring in a multi-genre project requires wearing multiple creative hats. What was the biggest challenge in keeping the comedy sharp while delivering high-quality rock performances?

Sully: Having known drummer Steve Glover, bassist Gregg Steele and guitarist George Kurth for many years, the challenge was keeping things organized from day one and we did. We knew how to work well with each other, we learned things like how the weather works and understanding how sound is captured but we luckily never had a problem. But I have to thank both my online music mentor Pete Townshend of The Who for giving us the idea of making short films as well as my film editor and music co-producer Matt Murphy for his patience and insight. Both men helped me shape what I needed to do with my band from the beginning and how to bring music and film together. It takes a village.

Q: Indie filmmaking and independent music production have both evolved significantly in recent years. How does producing short films alongside full soundtracks allow your group to engage audiences differently than traditional touring bands?

Sully: Since this veteran rock quartet has over 250 years of living, we have focused on the actual product and distribution end and removed the live show piece by uploading our film directly to YouTube, where our channel keeps our short films and accessible all over the world. In the process, we were able to enter our three music comedy films in a number of small indie film festivals and won several awards. Social media has helped spread the word about the music of Sullyman The Third without having to play a single gig.

Q: Looking ahead, how do you see the musical comedy format expanding for Sullyman The Third in future releases?

Sully: Not sure at the moment, as it will mostly depend on how our current album is received. None of us are comedic film actors but we did rise to the occasion to find a new way to get our music out there in this complex visual world. Right now, Sullyman The Third is focusing on a new concept album we just released this 2026 called ‘Condo Florida’ (part of which was recorded at Pete Townshend’s studio in London) that is ‘answering’ questions that the Eagles had sung about exactly 50 years ago on their 1976 ‘Hotel California’ concept album. We also released on YouTube a performance soundstage video from the title track that included a combination of clips from all three of our short films. But I must admit there’s much more to making a short film than grabbing your iPhone to film your bandmates alongside your family and friends for no money while strategically tossing some music here and there. It’s nice for us to sit back and do nothing for a little while and see what comes of all this work. It’s exhausting!

Merging narrative cinema with original rock composition offers a distinct and engaging path forward for indie creators. By addressing modern technological themes through a humorous lens, Chat ST3 Ring Circus demonstrates how multimedia storytelling can revitalize both independent film and rock music.

As technology continues to reshape artistic production, projects that preserve authentic human creativity while embracing satirical cultural commentary will remain vital. Sullyman The Third proves that cross-disciplinary art can deliver both meaningful laughs and hard-hitting music.

Ruby & Sasha Draw The Line On Sassy New Country-Folk Single “Red Light,” Out August 25th

Ruby & Sasha Draw The Line On Sassy New Country-Folk Single “Red Light,” Out August 25th

Listen Here

NEW YORK, NY – Rising duo Ruby & Sasha are turning heartbreak into a warning sign on their new single, Red Light,” arriving everywhere Tuesday, August 25th. Equal parts biting, vulnerable, and self-assured, the country-folk ballad captures the moment when disappointment finally becomes clarity and walking away starts to feel a whole lot better than sticking around.

Built around the universal experience of realizing someone simply does not measure up, Red Light is a song about leaving before a bad situation has the chance to become worse. Rather than mourning a relationship that failed to live up to its promise, Ruby & Sasha flip the script, delivering a scathing review of a man who cannot seem to meet even the lowest expectations.

At its core, Red Light is about recognizing the warning signs and choosing yourself.

With its country-folk foundation, the track balances the intimacy of a breakup ballad with a sly sense of humor and a well-earned edge. Acoustic and electric guitars create the backbone of the arrangement, while pedal steel, harmonica, Wurlitzer, bass, and drums give the song a warm, lived-in sound that complements its pointed storytelling. The result feels both classic and contemporary, allowing the song’s attitude to cut through without sacrificing its emotional weight.

There is a particular kind of freedom that comes from realizing you do not have to wait for someone to hurt you again before deciding you have had enough. Red Light lives in that moment. It is not about begging someone to change or wondering where things went wrong. It is about seeing the situation clearly, understanding your worth, and getting out while you still have the chance.

The song was produced, recorded, and mixed by Daniel Markus, who also contributes acoustic and electric guitar. Natalia Catalan performs bass, with Sam Schuman on drums, Quinn Devlin on harmonica and Wurlitzer, and Sam Roller on pedal steel. Mastering was handled by Elaine Rasnake.

With Red Light, Ruby & Sasha transform romantic disappointment into something sharper and far more satisfying: a reminder that sometimes the strongest ending is the one you choose for yourself.

“Red Light” by Ruby & Sasha will be available on all major streaming platforms Tuesday, August 25th.

Andie Case Turns Self-Doubt Into Defiance on New Single “Loser” – Second Single From Debut EP Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine

Andie Case Turns Self-Doubt Into Defiance on New Single “Loser” – Second Single From Debut EP Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine

Listen Here

After more than a decade of captivating audiences with powerhouse vocals, raw vulnerability, and deeply personal storytelling, singer-songwriter Andie Case continues to introduce the world to a more intimate side of her artistry with her new single, “Loser.” The track is available now and serves as the second release from her forthcoming debut EP, “Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine”, arriving this September.

Loser” finds Case confronting the complicated relationship between failure, self-worth, and perseverance. Rather than hiding from moments of insecurity or disappointment, she leans directly into them, transforming the idea of being a “loser” into something far more human. The song captures what it feels like to keep moving forward when life has not unfolded the way you imagined, and to recognize that setbacks do not have to define where the story ends.

There is an uplifting spirit beneath the song’s vulnerability. “Loser” acknowledges the weight of difficult seasons while holding onto the belief that something better can still be waiting on the other side. It is that balance between honesty and hope that makes the track feel especially connected to Case’s own journey.

Long before the milestones, international tours, and millions of listeners, Case experienced firsthand what it meant to bet on herself without any guarantee of success. Raised in an unstable home, she found an escape and a sense of identity through music. At 18, she left home to pursue a career in Los Angeles, enduring periods of significant hardship, including living out of her car while trying to establish herself as an artist.

Those experiences give “Loser” an added layer of meaning. The song does not approach perseverance as an abstract idea. It comes from an artist who has experienced uncertainty, rejection, and struggle while continuing to pursue the life she envisioned for herself.

That persistence ultimately helped Case build an extraordinary independent career. She has amassed more than 1.4 million YouTube subscribers and 300 million video views, cultivating an international audience through her unmistakable voice and emotionally charged performances. Along the way, she won the $1 million grand prize in Usher’s Megastar competition, received MTV’s Cover of the Year award, reached the iTunes Top 100, and toured throughout Europe and Asia.

While many fans were first introduced to Case through the covers that showcased her remarkable vocal range, her forthcoming EP represents something different. “Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine” places her own experiences, songwriting, and perspective firmly at the center.

Blending indie pop textures with singer-songwriter intimacy, the project explores heartbreak, healing, identity, resilience, and self-discovery. “Loser” follows the previously released “Better Days,” further revealing an EP built around embracing the imperfect and often uncomfortable experiences that shape who we become.

With “Loser,” Andie Case is not presenting a perfectly polished story of triumph. Instead, she celebrates the messy middle, the moments when success feels distant, confidence disappears, and moving forward becomes an achievement in itself. It is an honest reminder that sometimes losing is simply one chapter in the process of figuring out who you are.

Loser” is available now on all streaming platforms as well as her first single, “Better Days”. The album Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine will be released this September.

Rebekah Snyder Explores Love, Survival, and Justice on Powerful New Single “Someday Lullaby,” – Out NOW

Rebekah Snyder Explores Love, Survival, and Justice on Powerful New Single “Someday Lullaby,” – Out NOW

Listen here!

NASHVILLE, TN – Fresh off the success of “Small Town,” which was featured on Spotify’s All New Country editorial playlist and climbed to No. 72 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart last week, Rebekah Snyder returns with “Someday Lullaby,” an emotionally gripping contemporary country ballad arriving Friday, August 7th. Rich with heartfelt songwriting and understated musical performances, the single showcases Snyder’s ability to tell deeply personal stories that resonate long after the music ends.

Built around acoustic Travis-style fingerpicking, atmospheric electric guitar, soulful pedal steel, and an intimate, vulnerable vocal performance, “Someday Lullaby” draws inspiration from the timeless comfort of traditional lullabies. Beneath its gentle melodies, however, lies a far more complex and emotionally charged story.

Written from a deeply personal perspective, the song is addressed to Snyder’s children through the lens of a future conversation she hopes to have with them one day, when they are old enough to understand. Because of both their young age and the legal realities surrounding domestic violence, the story is one that cannot yet be shared openly. Instead, the song becomes a promise that someday the truth will be told.

Using the familiar structure of a lullaby, the song pairs tenderness with emotional honesty as it explores the devastating realities of surviving domestic violence while confronting the painful moral conflict of there not being justice through the legal system. Rather than relying on shock value, Snyder allows the weight of the story to unfold with remarkable restraint, inviting listeners into an intensely personal journey of resilience, heartbreak, and unwavering love.

The contrast between the song’s soothing musical landscape and its darker lyrical narrative creates a powerful emotional tension that lingers long after the final note. It is a testament to Snyder’s songwriting that “Someday Lullaby” never loses sight of its central message of resilience, hope, and the enduring instinct to protect those we love most.

While the song explores difficult subject matter, it ultimately stands as an anthem of survival and strength. Its emotional honesty and fearless storytelling place it alongside modern country songs that tackle complex emotions with authenticity and conviction. Fans of HARDY and Lainey Wilson’s “Wait in the Truck,” The Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl,” and Miranda Lambert’s “Gunpowder & Lead” will find familiar themes of courage, justice, and perseverance, while “Someday Lullaby” offers a deeply personal perspective that is uniquely Snyder’s own.

Following the momentum of “Small Town,” Rebekah Snyder continues to establish herself as one of country music’s most compelling storytellers, unafraid to write about life’s hardest realities with grace, compassion, and remarkable emotional depth.

“Someday Lullaby” will be available on all major streaming platforms on Friday, August 7th.
