Emily Weiss Emerges “From Beyond the Beaten Path” with Unique Antiques in Eastport

The Eclectic Boutique Brings Together Long Islanders with a Passion for Discovering Unknown Treasures

From Beyond the Beaten Path, located at 495 Main St. Eastport, New York has been bringing in a mix of new and vintage one of a kind items to discerning residents with penchant for rare, exclusive and uncommon hidden gems for over 25 years.

For the holiday season they are offering a 50% discount on selected merchandise.

Emily’s passion for antiques, and the unknown, began when she was just 14 years old. “The most exciting part of antiquing for me was not only meeting the eccentric and interesting antique dealers along the way, but mainly the possibility of finding something I had never seen before”.

After collecting for many years and managing other stores, she opened Beyond the Beaten Path in Eastport, the Gateway to the Hamptons. For 25 years, the shop has been one of the best kept secrets on the East End of Long Island. It’s been a secret haunt for many stylists, collectors and top designers such as Ralph Lauren, Betsey Johnson, and more. For well over a decade, they rented (and sold) fabulous vintage pieces from their extensive collection to Ralph Lauren’s company. From Beyond the Beaten Path  reproduced or got inspiration from vintage pieces for Ralph Lauren’s top line, “The Collection”. The stores’ vintage clothing has also been sold at NYC Boutiques in Soho, as well as uptown at actress Phoebe Cates’ store, Blue Tree.

From Beyond the Beaten Path has evolved from an Antique store to an Eclectic Boutique, a mix of new and vintage, constantly reinventing itself. Their collection ranges from Home Furnishings, including Lighting and Accessories to Jewelry, Distinctive Gifts, Vintage Clothing and beyond. Many of their jewelry pieces are one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted and reinvented from vintage parts, as are some of the tables, lighting and accessories. They also offer a custom service for their clientele to assist with reinventing and designing their vintage jewelry to make it more up-to-date. Shipments arrive weekly, with fabulous new merchandise.
